What's your lucky number
Step 1: Ask your friend to think of any lucky number (below 10)
Step 2: Ask him to multiply with 10
Step 3: Ask him to add 14
Step 4: Ask him to subtract 8
Step 5: Ask him to tell the result
Step 6: Cancel the unit place 6 and reveal the answer
Secret: Always you get 6 in the units place. The number before 6 is the lucky number.
Step 1: Let the lucky number be 3
Step 2: 3 x 10 = 30
Step 3: 30 + 14 = 44
Step 4: 44 – 8 = 36
Step 5: 36
Step 6: 36
Hence the money in your friend’s lucky number is 3
  Algebraic Explanation:
  1. Let your friend's lucky number be X
  2. X x 10 = 10X
  3. 10X + 14
  4. 10X + 14 - 8 = 10X + 6
  5. 10X + 6
  6. 10X + 6 = 10X

If you subtract 6, you get the lucky number.
